Veciz AI ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application and web services.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Personal Information

When you create an account, we collect:

• Email address
• Full name (optional)
• Profile picture, if you sign in with Google (see section 5.5)
• User preferences and settings (app language, theme, notification choices)

You can sign in with Apple or with Google. We receive only the basic profile information listed above from them, never your password.

2.2 Usage Data

We automatically collect:

• YouTube video URLs you submit for summarization
• YouTube channels you subscribe to within the app
• App usage patterns and interactions
• Device information (type, OS, app version)
• IP address and general location (country/city level)

2.3 Subscription & Billing Data

When you start a subscription or free trial, we collect:

• Apple StoreKit purchase receipts (transaction ID, product ID, price tier)
• Subscription status (active, cancelled, renewal date, trial usage)
• Usage counters (channel limit, URL summaries, AI questions)
• Purchase country and currency (provided by Apple)

2.4 Content Data

• Video summaries you generate
• Your ratings and comments on summaries
• Read/unread status of summaries
• Language preferences

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

5.1 YouTube API Services

• This app uses YouTube API Services
• We access video titles, descriptions, transcripts, and channel info
• We do NOT download, store, or redistribute YouTube videos
• We do NOT bypass YouTube's protection or monetization

5.4 Importing Your YouTube Subscriptions (optional)

If you choose "Import my YouTube subscriptions", the app asks Google for read-only access to your YouTube account (youtube.readonly). With it we:

• Read the list of channels you subscribe to, once, directly from your device
• Show that list only to you so you can pick channels to follow in Veciz AI
• Store only the channels you explicitly select (the same as adding a channel by URL)

We do not store the access token or your full subscription list, we do not send them to our servers, and we never change anything on your YouTube account. Veciz AI's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. You can revoke access at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions.

5.5 Google User Data

This section describes exactly what we receive from Google APIs and how we handle it.

What we access

• Google Sign-In (scopes: openid, email, profile): your name, email address and profile picture, used to create and identify your Veciz AI account.
• YouTube subscriptions (scope: youtube.readonly, optional, only if you tap "Import from YouTube"): the list of channels you subscribe to.

How we use it

• Name, email and profile picture: to sign you in, show your account in the app, and send the emails you choose to receive (for example the daily digest).
• YouTube subscription list: shown only to you, on your device, so you can choose which channels to follow in Veciz AI. Only the channels you select are saved to your account.

How we store and share it

• Your name, email and the channels you follow are stored in our database (Supabase), encrypted in transit and at rest.
• Your YouTube access token and your full subscription list are not stored and are not sent to our servers.
• We do not sell Google user data, do not use it for advertising, and do not share it with AI providers or any other third party, except our infrastructure providers that host the service on our behalf, or when required by law.
• Google user data is never used to develop, improve or train AI or machine-learning models.

Retention and deletion

• Your account information is kept until you delete your account. You can delete it in the app (Settings → Delete account) or by emailing [email protected]; the data is removed within 30 days.
• You can revoke Veciz AI's access to your Google account at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions.

Limited Use disclosure: Veciz AI's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

6. Data Sharing

We Share Data With:

• Supabase (database and authentication)
• AI service providers (OpenAI, Google Gemini): only public video transcripts, to generate summaries. Never your personal or Google account data
• Email service providers
• Analytics services
• Apple App Store / StoreKit (subscription billing & receipt validation)

We Do NOT:

• ❌ Sell your personal information
• ❌ Share data for marketing
• ❌ Use data beyond stated purposes

You have the right to:

• Access: Request a copy of your data
• Delete: Delete your account in the app (Settings → Delete account) or email [email protected]
• Modify: Update your profile information
• Export: Download your summaries
• Opt-out: Disable email notifications

9. Data Retention

• Account Data: Until you delete your account
• Summaries: Indefinitely (unless deleted by you)
• Usage Logs: 90 days
• Subscription & billing records: Required by tax/regulation (typically 7 years)
• Deleted Data: Removed within 30 days

10. Subscriptions & In-App Purchases

Veciz AI offers auto-renewable subscriptions with a free tier and a premium plan. When you purchase through the Apple App Store:

• Payment is processed by Apple; we never store your card details.
• Apple shares a purchase receipt token so we can validate your plan status.
• Receipt data is stored securely in Supabase to track plan limits, renewal dates, and refunds.
• You can manage or cancel your subscription anytime via Apple ID Settings.
• If you begin a free trial, unused portions are forfeited when you purchase a plan.

We use subscription information to enforce plan limits (channels, summaries, AI questions) and to notify you about renewal status, trial expirations, or payment issues.

We comply with Turkish KVKK (Kişisel Verilerin Korunması Kanunu).

🇺🇸 CCPA (California)

12. Children's Privacy

Veciz AI is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. We will notify you via:
